Could you please give us a quick introduction to yourself?
Alsu Vale, Senior Marketing Director at JLL. I’m a passionate marketer with 20 years of experience working in fast-paced legal and professional services environments. At JLL, I’m responsible for portfolio marketing and leading strategic marketing initiatives that drive business growth and enhance our brand presence in the commercial real estate sector.
Why did you choose to participate in this summit?
It’s an absolutely exciting time for marketing now. Never before have we had such ability to personalise, optimise and track performance of marketing efforts. It comes with its own challenges and increased pressure on marketing to be a revenue generation function. I’m particularly eager to hear from the impressive lineup of speakers about navigating these opportunities and challenges, especially in areas like AI-driven customer insights.
What is the one MarTech decision you made in 2024 that you’re most proud of?
First, I actively integrated JLL GPT into my workflow for handling routine tasks, which has significantly improved my efficiency. Second, we leveraged Bombora’s intent data in a recent campaign, resulting in more targeted outreach and an increase in engagement rates.
With the rapid changes in the MarTech landscape, how do you prioritize the data that provides the most value for demand generation at JLL?
There’s a very famous quote by W. Edwards Deming: “Data are not taken for museum purposes; they are taken as a basis for doing something. If nothing is to be done with the data, then there is no use in collecting any.” At JLL, we prioritise data points that provide a basis for action to improve demand generation efforts.
What upcoming developments in your industry are you most eager to explore? What trends or shifts in the market are you most looking forward to in the next year, and how do you plan to stay ahead of the curve?
AI and Machine Learning are at the forefront of my interest, particularly in how they’ll empower marketers to deliver more personalised experiences at scale. I’m especially keen on exploring predictive analytics in customer behaviour and its application in creating adaptive marketing campaigns. To stay ahead of the curve, we need a culture of continuous learning within our team. It’s crucial to remain open-minded and agile in this rapidly evolving landscape.
