2. A Stage That Delivered

2.1 Knowledge shared from the stage

Panel Discussion | [Omnichannel Marketing] Orchestrating the Customer Journey for Seamless Omnichannel Experiences

Leaders from Electrolux Group, Central Department Store Group, The 1 Central Group and Mastercard explored how brands can connect customer touchpoints to create seamless experiences that drive conversion and loyalty. The key takeaway: customers think in journeys, not channels, and each interaction should improve the next.

  • Design experiences around customer journeys, not individual channels. Customers expect consistent, connected interactions regardless of where or how they engage with a brand. “Customers don’t think in channels – they think in journeys.”— Albert Chew, Director of Product Management, Mastercard
  • Connect every touchpoint to create a seamless customer journey. Ensure each interaction builds on the previous one, guiding customers smoothly from discovery and purchase through to ownership. — Mohamed El-Harouny, Head of E-commerce Omnichannel, ANZ, Asia, India, Middle East & Africa, Electrolux Group

Fireside Chat | [Social Commerce] From Scrolls to Sales: Turning Social Engagement into Local Spend in Thailand

This fireside chat looked at what moves Thai consumers from “I like this” to “I’ll buy this”, and where creator influence really sits in the customer journey. Both speakers argued that saves, shares and trust are stronger buying signals than reach.

  • Build content for people who are already dreaming. Engage consumers early in their journey by tapping into their aspirations and building connections before they are ready to buy. — Rattanawadee (Gail) Nimnual, Corporate Director of Social Media, Centara Hotels & Resorts
  • Attention gets you noticed. Trust gets you chosen. Build social content for credibility, not just visibility. Prioritise trust over visibility to drive conversions. Focus on meaningful engagement rather than reach alone. — Rawit Hanutsaha, Chief Executive Officer, Mission To The Moon & Srichand

Engagement metrics to highlight

The audience asked about finding the right influencers, creating sustainable value after a viral moment, measuring success, using AI across the journey from scroll to sale and connecting social activity with CRM and loyalty programmes.

  • 374 live poll responses across 11 Slido polls during the day.
  • The connected customer journey poll drew 65 responses, the most of any session. As we asked: What is the biggest barrier preventing companies from delivering a truly connected customer journey, and what should leaders prioritise first? Here is what people replied:

3. A Room Worth Being In

Beyond the senior audience, what made The MarTech Summit Bangkok stand out was the honesty of the discussions, the local relevance of the content and the connections built from breakfast to closing drinks.

3.1  Peer Quality and Connections

  • Each attendee met an average of 9 new people during the day.
  • Around five hours were dedicated to networking, across breakfast, two coffee breaks, a buffet lunch and closing drinks.
  • 45 1-2-1 meetings were facilitated, an average of 6 per delegate.
  • Across 13 main-stage sessions and 3 breakouts, attendees took part in 500 minutes of live insights and discussion.
  • Data Demystified breakouts ran alongside the main stage in the Sakura Room: AI transformation with Indorama Ventures, building an AI-ready data foundation with Lotus’s, and children’s data and privacy with Kudun & Partners. Standout moments from the live polls

When we asked the room for their “real” job title, honesty won:

And when asked, in one word, what makes them buy from a brand they discover on social media, the room answered with trust, reviews, relevance, price and storytelling. The two most human answers: “My friend” and “K Rawit”, a nod to Rawit Hanutsaha, who had just argued on stage that trust is what gets a brand chosen.

3.2  Join the Conversations that matter

Be part of next year’s conversations, insights and connections from the start.

We also have two flagship events coming up: The MarTech Summit London on 10–11 November 2026, and The MarTech Summit Asia in Singapore on 2–3 March 2027. If your local or regional teams would like to join, please contact Matthew Lin, Head of Marketing, m.lin@themartechsummit.com
