Quick Q&A with Fulvio Minichini

Could you please give us a quick introduction of yourself?

I’m a Principal Technical Product Manager at HeyJobs in Berlin, where I combine deep expertise in marketing automation with hands-on engineering. Over 15+ years, I’ve evolved from traditional product management into what I call a “product engineer hybrid,” personally building end-to-end automation solutions using Python, Airflow, and AI-powered workflows.

Why did you choose to participate in this summit?

I’m excited to share how we’re democratising marketing automation at HeyJobs. We’ve built a culture where a lean team delivers what typically requires large engineering organisations. I want to connect with others pushing the boundaries of what’s possible when you combine domain expertise with agentic engineering, and learn from the community’s approaches to similar challenges.

You’ve worked on GenAI creation pipelines and LLM-based workflows. How do you see generative AI redefining what is possible in marketing automation today?

GenAI is fundamentally shifting what’s achievable with lean teams. At HeyJobs, our performance marketing managers are independently building automated, no-human-in-the-loop bidding and campaign management pipelines. I personally contribute ~25% of our team’s engineering velocity using agentic workflows, developing Python pipelines, and deploying production code. It feels like headcount expansion without the overhead. We’re proving that complex data pipelines, offline conversion tracking, and custom AI agents can be built in-house within reasonable timeframes. It is only a matter of time until Martech SAAS, particularly those targeting smaller companies or individuals, will be challenged.

One of your core ideas is “discovery while creating.” Can you explain how that approach works in practice when building automation systems?

Instead of lengthy spec documents, I validate business value through direct implementation. I prototype a solution, test it rigorously with real data, and iterate based on actual performance. For example, when building our marketing signal pipelines, I developed the initial version myself to validate the impact before collaborating with engineers to productionise it. This compresses the feedback loop dramatically, as you discover edge cases and integration challenges immediately rather than months later.

Looking ahead to 2026, is there a personal or professional goal you’re excited about achieving?

I’m focused on pushing the boundaries of what one person can build with agentic engineering. My goal is to demonstrate that the “product engineer hybrid” role can deliver outsized impact, enabling organisations to execute ambitious automation strategies without traditional constraints. I also want to share this methodology more broadly, helping other teams realise they don’t need massive resources to build enterprise-grade solutions.

Fulvio’s approach is a compelling vision of the future of marketing automation—one where speed, experimentation, and hands-on innovation redefine what’s possible. By building while discovering, and coding while managing, he collapses the traditional gap between product strategy and execution. As companies seek to scale without bloating headcount or timelines, Fulvio’s perspective offers a clear path forward. We look forward to his insights at The MarTech Summit Berlin 2026, where he will show what happens when GenAI meets practical, production-level ambition.
