Why did you choose to participate in this summit?

The MarTech Summit is an excellent platform to exchange ideas with leaders shaping the future of the customer journey. At Milwaukee Tool Asia, MarTech is a core part of our user-centric strategy to deliver premium, personalised experiences for our professional users. By sharing real-world insights, what worked and what didn’t, we can collectively accelerate progress and drive meaningful innovation.

You’ve worked across more than 10 Asian markets. What are some key challenges you’ve faced when trying to unify customer data across such diverse regions and platforms?

Unifying customer data across Asia is complex due to diverse standards, regulations, and behaviors. Variations include address formats, customer name conventions, and different digital channels—Google, Meta, Naver, Yahoo, Baidu, TikTok, Line, and more. Processes like warranty registration also differ: some markets expect it, others take a different approach, creating varied data sets. One key lesson: start by mapping scenarios and defining fallbacks, then standardize data and apply a common taxonomy for customer attributes before integration. This approach makes automation and analytics smoother and more scalable across regions.

How do you balance the need for global consistency in customer experience with the local nuance required in fast-moving, multi-market environments?

There are non-negotiable standards: brand colours, positioning, glossaries, key segments, tone of voice, and core messaging. Then we localise within these guidelines, adapting to the cultural context. Examples include tailoring FAQs, creating local campaigns aligned with brand principles, adjusting imagery for local relevance, refining segment definitions for a better fit without changing core segmentation, and adapting preferred local channels while staying true to global standards.

Can you share one personal or professional goal you’d like to achieve in 2026?

Professionally, I aspire to foster a culture where teams at every level can confidently access and prioritize data, use it as a shared language, and collaborate seamlessly, driving greater ownership, agility, and smarter decisions. Personally, I’d love to check Antarctica off my bucket list this year. It’s been a lifelong dream to explore all seven continents and embrace the beauty of the extremes!

Yoky’s insights highlight the reality of building global systems that respect local differences, from address formats to preferred digital channels. Her approach combines structured standardisation with thoughtful localisation, enabling both scalability and relevance across diverse regions. As brands seek to connect more meaningfully with customers worldwide, leaders like Yoky are shaping strategies where technology and empathy go hand in hand. We’re excited to hear her perspective at the Global Virtual MarTech Summit 2026, as she helps demystify what it truly takes to create a unified customer view in Asia and beyond.
