Remote Working

Share on:

With the advancement of technology and changing work cultures, you do not need to be in the office every day anymore, remote working is reshaping the workplace. Even before the COVID-19 pandemic, remote working was not an uncommon feature.

Towards the end of the 19th century, long distance calling was particularly costly and unstable, nowadays you can host video conference between multiple countries quite easily. It’s a long way from operators manually routing calls. Being able to connect instantly with your colleagues has paved the way for remote working.

Company culture change also plays a large part, many now adopt a more positive employee experience, bosses have been sensitized, work flexibility is allowed and some companies even employ a Chief Employee Experience Officer.

With remote working on the rise, companies would be foolish to overlook what many people, particularly with the younger generation, consider a benefit. New MarTech tools have allowed teams to communicate and collaborate effectively. Positives for the employee? Improve well-being, social life and more job opportunities. Positives for the company? Increase business expansion, easier recruitment and also reduced overhead costs. Win/Win for everyone.
