Quick Q&A with Claudio Toldi

Could you please give us a quick introduction of yourself?

Hi, I’m Claudio, since last year Head of Global Platforms & Marketing Operations at Continental. I have always worked in the digital space apart from a short sales experience (but don’t tell anyone) and, for a decade, I have enjoyed applying that to marketing!



Why did you choose to participate in this summit?

3 main reasons: I found this event in the past very well organized and insightful, the roster of speakers and providers is very relevant, and Berlin is closer than London 😊



As someone who has led digital transformation with a strong focus on mindset, what’s your approach to encouraging teams to adopt AI confidently and responsibly?

To be honest, we are still working on it, as everyone else. In general, I believe it is the same for all digitalisation activities: people first, then processes and systems. Sure, AI is so ubiquitous that it’s also a bit different, but we are tackling it holistically: top-down with e.g. strategy and goals, bottom-up with e.g. training, networks, and best-practice sharing, all imbued with a lot of communication.



In a global, data-heavy organisation like Continental, what are some of the most promising or impactful use cases you’ve seen for AI in improving digital customer experience?

We work on 4 main ones: increase productivity, enhance customer experience, analytics & strategy, and improve performance. All of those have many sub-use cases that can bring a lot of benefits, but the one that I am really curious to see live soon is the synthetic persona, to test our ideas, campaigns, and strategies. If this works as expected, we will see a huge boost in effectiveness.



Looking ahead to 2026, what is one personal or professional milestone you’d like to achieve as marketing and AI become increasingly intertwined?

Being able to globally scale some of those use cases (did I already talk about synthetic persona? 😊) and surely, measure the results!



Claudio’s approach to AI and marketing operations is refreshingly grounded in people, not just platforms. Whether exploring synthetic personas or driving internal engagement through communication and collaboration, he demonstrates how large organisations can pursue innovation at scale without losing focus on the human side of transformation.
